For providing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Pilot Training, every institute in India is required to get approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the statutory body of the Government of India which regulates civil aviation in India.

Sha-Shib Aerospace Engineering is one of the Top aircraft maintenance engineering colleges in India approved by DGCA, Government of India. Apart from SAE, many of the Top DGCA-approved AME colleges in India are managed by Sha-Shib Group.

Sha-Shib Aerospace Engineering currently offers training in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), Aeronautical Engineering, and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training. Several DGCA-approved AME colleges offer training in aviation courses, but they lack effective practical training. Sha-Shib Aerospace Engineering offers a world-class infrastructure with live training facilities at its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul organization and associated airports to provide better exposure to the students.

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the safety of the aircraft and its components, so preparing to become one is intense and includes proper training. Not all the DGCA-approved AME institutes are very well equipped to provide the best training facilities and experienced faculty support. Sha-Shib Aerospace Engineering also has practical tie-ups with DGCA CAR -145 approved MROs including Air India, GoAir, Airworks, GMR, and Indamer for extensive practical training which is mandated by DGCA, Government of India.

DGCA approval status is also an indication of quality education, both academic and practical, which is necessary to become a skillful aviation professional. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering colleges in India approved by DGCA are the only institutes authorized to provide AME and pilot training. Institutes without an active approval status can’t admit students to attend the courses and they won’t be able to attend the exams which are conducted by DGCA itself.
